On April 7, the Primakov Center held an online meeting, titled “The Role of Russia–Saudi Arabia Bilateral Relations in the Stabilization of the Situation in the Middle East,” brought together leading experts from Russia and the Kingdom.
The session was moderated by Irina Lebedeva, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Oriental and African Studies of the Institute for Eurasian Studies, Russian State University for the Humanities.
During the meeting, participants discussed developments in the Middle East, their impact on Russia–Saudi relations, and the potential of both countries to contribute to regional stabilization. Particular attention was given to opportunities for coordination on international platforms, the role of bilateral dialogue in reducing tensions, and prospects for expanding expert-level cooperation.
Following the discussion, both sides expressed mutual interest in continuing the dialogue and developing regular contacts.
