Global policy actors build relations based on their knowledge and perceptions of each other. This knowledge is produced by a multitude of institutions — government agencies, think tanks and other non-governmental organizations. Participants will discuss their role in international political processes, their goals and methods of achieving them.
Who is responsible for shaping the image of various countries and foreign policy actors? What role do think tanks and academia play in this process? What mechanisms do they use to promote their ideas? How are political elites and expert circles connected? How does the conceptual framework developed by analytical centers affect a country’s foreign policy stance?

Expert session "Scientific and Technological Development in BRICS+ countries Amid Global Competition"
The current technological landscape is largely determined by the competition between the United States and China. However, we should not forget about the processes beyond this confrontation. The BRICS+ countries are forced to either join one of the dominant technological ecosystems, or attempt to create their own.
How are the BRICS+ countries working to create national information platforms? Where are the boundaries of technological sovereignty and how do they relate to the expansion of international scientific and technological ties? What factors ensure the success or predetermine the failures of the initiatives launched within the framework of the association? What are the dynamics of interaction between BRICS+ member and partner states?

Expert session "Knowledge is the New Oil? The Economy in the Age of Data and Innovation"
Knowledge is one of the factors of production. In the context of technological progress, it no longer only refers to business competencies — now this includes data and algorithms, which are used as a basis for new business models. The "knowledge economy" puts forward new requirements not only for the main economic actors, the education system and the quality of human capital.
How are science and technology shaping the economy of the 21st century? Can we talk about humanity’s transition to a knowledge economy? What is the impact of technology, big data and innovation on global markets?
Participants will explore examples of successful innovation ecosystems, the role of universities and research centers in the development of new industries, and the prospects for cooperation between government, business and academia in shaping the economy of the future.

Participants will discuss risks and opportunities of their use in traditional and new applications.
What role is assigned to nuclear technologies in countries and regions of the world? What are the differences of scientific and technological strategies of key market players? What are the prospects for the development of nuclear energy in the world economy? What are the obstacles to the introduction of nuclear technologies?
