The Primakov Center and the Council of Young Scientists at IMEMO have announced the launch of the application process for the Youth Session of the international forum "Primakov Readings — 2025." The session will take place on June 21–22 in Moscow and will serve as a key platform for discussing global development challenges with the participation of young researchers from Russia and abroad.
This year's theme is "A Knowledge-Based Order." The program will select 20 finalists from Russia and other countries who will present their analytical papers across four thematic panels. Eligible participants include MA students, PhD candidates, early-career researchers, staff of universities, research institutions and NGOs, as well as independent analysts between the ages of 21 and 35.
"Primakov Readings are, first and foremost, an opportunity to build direct connections with leading experts in international affairs. Every year, the forum gathers the best minds of Russian academia. Experts are open to dialogue beyond official sessions, and this is your chance to share your research achievements. Experience shows that for many young scholars, participation in the Readings has marked the beginning of a significant academic career," said Viktoria Karslieva, Executive Director of the Primakov Center.
According to the organizers, key topics to be discussed include the role of knowledge in international politics, the BRICS+ response to technological challenges, the transformation of global markets through innovation and big data, and the role of nuclear technologies in the sustainable development agenda.
Applications will be accepted until May 5. Detailed participation guidelines are available on our website.
The international academic and expert forum “Primakov Readings” is an annual platform for discussing issues of global economy, politics, and security with the participation of leading experts from Russian and international research and analytical centers. First held in 2015, the forum is named after Yevgeny Primakov — a prominent Russian scholar and statesman who served as Prime Minister of Russia (1998–1999). In 2025, the forum will be held for the eleventh time.
